ANTS

Ants are one of the most common pests in and around homes in Texas they live in colonies. Ants are divided up into three castes: workers, males, and queens. There are approximately 700 species found in the United States. The most common are Fire ants, Carpenter ants, Acrobat ants, Pharaoh ants, Little black ants, and Rover ants.

Carpenter ants can cause damage to your property, by excavating and creating galleries and tunnels in wood. It is important to note that Carpenter ants are NOT termites and need to be treating differently than termites.

BED BUGS

Bed bugs belong to a group of bugs known as Truebugs. Bed bugs are nocturnal blood-sucking pests. Bed bugs can infest Residential and Commercial properties. Their life cycle contains three stages. Bed bugs prefer to feed off of humans but will feed off of dog, cats and other animals when a human host is not available.

FLEAS & TICKS

Cat fleas and dog fleas are small, brownish-black, hard-shelled fleas. Cat fleas develop at an alarming rate; if they are not treated, they can live up to 1 year. These species attack your pets and you. They will most likely be in all carpeted areas. These fleas breed throughout the year.

Ticks are closely related to spiders, scorpions, and mites. Ticks pose serious health threats because they can transmit diseases such as Lyme disease, Rocky Mountain spotted fever, and Colorado tick fever. They can live up to 3 years if not treated.

FLIES

Flies are a nuisance in homes and commercial establishments. Flies thrive in unsanitary conditions. The most common food source for flies is decaying organic material. The best way to control flies is through ensuring proper sanitation practices. Flies can live from 1 to 6 weeks depending on the developmental conditions.

RODENTS

Rodents inhabit commercial and residential facilities. Their main goal is to find a food source. Rodents can carry up to 35 different diseases that humans are susceptible to. Rodents can cause serious property damage by gnawing through building materials and electrical wiring. The damage they cause may vary, with losses reaching into the millions. The most common rodents are Field and House mice, Roof and Norway rats.

WASPS & HORNETS

Wasps and Hornets have many species between the two. Some of which are much more aggressive than the others. Wasps and Hornets are a nuisance and can pose a serious danger to people that are allergic to them. Wasps and Hornets nests can be found in shrubs and trees.
